Android netbook -Aspire One

Leading PC maker Acer has unveiled Android-featured netbook named Aspire One. Google's Android operating system incorporated in Acer netbook will enable the users to enjoy faster Internet accessibility thereby enhancing the efficiency level. According to Acer Chairman Mr. Jim Wong, the company has developed compact-sized netbook which can connect to the Internet anywhere.

The induction of Android into Acer netbooks will provide the customers with another choice of operating system. Apart from Microsoft's operating system, the majority of Acer netbooks will also offer Android in the future. The PC maker feels that the Android operating system will greatly benefit to the growth of worldwide netbook market.

The Android operating system is a free, open source, and fully customizable mobile platform. It offers middleware and key mobile applications. The operating system can also be customized and integrated by the third-party developers to offer add-on benefits to the end-users. The company is expected to market launch the Android-featured Aspire One netbooks by the third quarter of the current year.
